Good Cabinets Deserve a Good Install
The best cabinets in the world look bad installed poorly: doors that do not line up, gaps at the wall, boxes that rock because the floor was not leveled. And decent stock cabinets look great installed well. Installation is the step where everything comes together, and it takes a different skill set than building. We offer professional cabinet installation as a standalone service for homeowners and contractors across the Orlando area.
We install stock, semi-custom, and custom cabinets from any source: big-box stores, cabinet dealers, online retailers, and other shops. Kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, offices, and built-ins. If you bought the cabinets and need them put in right, that is what we do.
What Professional Installation Includes
- Layout verification: We check your cabinet plan against the actual room before anything is unboxed, catching size mistakes while they are still fixable.
- Level and plumb: Every box is leveled in all directions and shimmed where floors slope, so doors hang straight and drawers slide true.
- Scribing to walls: Orlando block walls and older framing are rarely flat. We scribe filler panels and end panels to the actual wall for a tight, gap-free fit.
- Secure fastening: Boxes are screwed to studs and to each other through the face frames, not just tacked to drywall. Wall cabinets get structural screws into studs or blocking.
- Doors and drawers: Every door is hung, aligned, and adjusted; every drawer is fitted and tested. Soft-close hardware is tuned so everything closes quietly.
- Molding and trim: Crown molding, base molding, light rails, and toe kicks are cut, fitted, and installed for a finished look.
- Hardware: Handles and knobs are installed straight and evenly spaced, measured from a template, not eyeballed.
Stock, Semi-Custom, and Custom: We Install Them All
Each cabinet type installs differently. Stock cabinets need more shimming and filler work because the sizes are fixed. Semi-custom cabinets from dealers often arrive with job-specific modifications we verify on site. Custom cabinets from other shops get white-glove handling with extra care for specialty finishes. If you are still deciding which type to buy, our stock vs. semi-custom vs. custom guide explains the trade-offs. And if you would rather have us design and build the cabinets too, see our custom kitchen cabinets page.
Installing in Orlando Homes: What We Watch For
Block-construction walls are hard and unforgiving: anchors must be right, because you do not get a second chance in concrete block. We use masonry-rated fasteners and verify every attachment point. Older Orlando homes often have out-of-square corners and sloping floors, so we allow extra time for shimming and scribing rather than rushing. In kitchens, we coordinate with your countertop fabricator's template schedule so the tops are measured only after the bases are perfectly level.
Humidity matters during install too. We let wood fillers, moldings, and trim acclimate before final fitting so seasonal movement does not open gaps later.
What We Do Not Do
We are cabinet installers, not general contractors. We do not move plumbing, run electrical, install countertops, tile backsplashes, or refinish floors, but we coordinate with the trades who do. If your project needs a plumber or electrician, we schedule our install around their work so nobody waits on anybody. For projects where the existing cabinets are staying and only the look changes, ask about cabinet refacing instead.
Working with Contractors and Flippers
We install for general contractors, remodelers, and house flippers across Central Florida on a per-project basis. You supply the cabinets and the schedule; we supply the crew, the tools, and the finished install. We work from your plans, flag discrepancies before they become problems, and leave the site clean. Volume and repeat-business pricing is available for contractors with steady work.
Preparing Your Home for Install Day
A little prep makes install day smooth. Clear the rooms where we will work, including closets and pantries if those cabinets are being replaced. Remove everything from existing cabinets the night before; our crew can help with heavy items on the day, but empty boxes install faster. Keep pets in a separate room, both for their safety and so doors can stay open while we carry cabinets.
Dust is part of any install. We cut trim and moldings outside or in the garage when possible, run dust collection on our saws, and lay floor protection through work paths. There will still be some dust; planning a quick clean after we leave is smart. If anyone in the home is sensitive to dust, tell us ahead of time and we will take extra containment steps.
Make sure we have clear access: a path from the driveway or garage to the work area, parking for our work vehicle, and an outdoor outlet if available. For condo and townhome installs around Orlando, check your HOA rules on work hours and elevator use, and share them with us before scheduling so there are no surprises.
Finally, keep your cabinet delivery paperwork handy. We verify every box against the packing list as we unbox, and having your order details nearby helps us resolve any missing or damaged pieces with the supplier immediately instead of losing a day.
Our Installation Process
We start with a site visit to see the room, review your cabinet plan and delivery schedule, and check wall and floor conditions. On install day, we stage the cabinets, verify the layout, and install from the corners out: uppers first, then bases, then molding, trim, doors, drawers, and hardware. A standard kitchen install takes two to four days. Bathrooms and laundry rooms usually take one to two days. We clean up daily and do a final walkthrough with you before we leave.
What Cabinet Installation Costs
Professional cabinet installation in the Orlando area commonly ranges from $1,500 to $6,000 for labor, depending on kitchen size, cabinet count, and complexity. A small bathroom or laundry install sits near the lower end; a large kitchen with an island, tall pantry units, crown molding, and extensive trim sits near the upper end. This is labor only; the cabinets themselves are separate. Every project differs, so these are starting points. The written quote after we see your plan and your space is the real number. More pricing context is in our Orlando cabinet cost guide.
